NOTIFICATION ON TYPE APPROVAL AND REGISTRATION CRITERIA OF SUBURBAN TRAIN SETS PUBLISHED IN THE OFFICIAL GAZETTE

The circular prepared in accordance with the Convention on International Railway Transport (COTIF) covering our National Commuter Set Gaziray and other railway vehicles to be operated on our national railway infrastructure network was published in the Official Gazette.

This Circular aims to determine the technical safety conditions to be taken as basis for the type approval and registration of commuter train sets to be operated on the Gaziray line and other commuter lines whose infrastructure and vehicle interfaces are compatible, and the evaluation criteria for ensuring compatibility with the railway infrastructure.

The publication by our Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the evaluation criteria for the type approval and registration of the train sets that are under production by our Company/TÜRASAŞ for the “Gaziray Commuter Line and Light Rail Transportation Project”, which will greatly ease urban transportation in Gaziantep, is an important guide for our Company.

The production of the new generation single-type vehicle bodies that we have developed within the scope of our National Commuter Project, which we have been working on since 2021, in a way that is compatible with other commuter lines will provide ease of maintenance and repair. With our Gaziray Project, which we will enter the testing phase in a short time, we will meet our country's domestic suburban vehicle needs with domestic resources, carry our brand to the international arena with the vehicles we will export, and contribute to our economy.
