FIRST TEST ON NATIONAL HIGH-SPEED TRAIN IN 2025

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that the National High-Speed ​​Train, whose construction is ongoing, was produced entirely with domestic resources, and that the design work for the high-speed train is nearing completion. Stating that the design work will be completed in the last quarter of 2024 and the assembly phase will be started, Minister Uraloğlu announced that after the factory static tests are completed in the National High-Speed ​​Train Project, it will be put on the rails in 2025 and dynamic road tests will be performed. Minister Uraloğlu said, “Our train will reach a speed of 225 kilometers per hour. Each set will have a total of 8 wagons with a capacity of 584 passengers.”

Turkey Has Become a Country That Designs, Produces and Develops Technology in Railways

Emphasizing that the National High-Speed ​​Train Project is a very important step for Turkey's future, Minister Uraloğlu underlined that Turkey has become a self-sufficient country in the production of railway vehicles. Minister Uraloğlu said, “Our investments in the field of transportation and infrastructure continue to bear fruit. Turkey has now become a country that designs, produces and develops technology in railways.” Reminding that they started passenger services with National Electric Train Sets on May 27, 2023, Minister Uraloğlu said, “After our National Electric Train, we are also building our National High-Speed ​​Train. Our high-speed train, which will be produced by Türasaş, will reach a speed of 225 km per hour. Each set will have 8 wagons with a total passenger capacity of 584 people.”

Manufactured with the Latest Technology Equipment

Referring to the design features of the high-speed train sets, Minister Uraloğlu stated that the trains were manufactured with the latest technology equipment during the production phase, and said, “It will offer maximum comfort to passengers with its ghost screen technology integrated into the doors and partition walls, folding tables with contactless fast charging stations, comfortable leather and fabric seat design, 3D ghost screen technology in the bistro area, indirect lighting system, and spacious interior design.” Minister Uraloğlu, who said that the ‘National Traction System and Train Control Management System’ developed jointly with Tübitak-Rute will be used in the High Speed ​​Train project, drew attention to the fact that the critical subcomponents that make up the train set are also produced with domestic and national means.

A Project Carried Out in Accordance with International Standards

Minister Uraloğlu, who stated that after all design processes of our project, which is carried out in accordance with international standards, are completed, the assembly phase will begin in the last quarter of 2024, said that with the completion of factory static tests in the National High Speed ​​Train Project, they plan to put the high speed train on the rails and start dynamic road tests in the last quarter of 2025.
